Hi everyone,

I'm considering upgrading my RAM from 2933 MHz to 3200 MHz and need some advice. My laptop is an HP Pavilion Gaming 15 (model 8VD49AV) with an Intel® Core™ i5-10300H processor. Does anyone know if this model supports 3200 MHz RAM, or if there are any specific considerations I should keep in mind? Thanks for your help!

Hi:

 

Your PC will support DDR4-3200 MHz memory, but it will only run at a maximum speed of 2933 MHz, because that is as fast as your notebook's processor can run the memory at.

 

Intel Core i510300H Processor 8M Cache up to 4.50 GHz Product Specifications

 

I recommend a Crucial DDR4 3200 memory chip - 8 GB or 16 GB depending on how much memory you want to install:

 

HP - Compaq Pavilion Gaming 15-dk10000 (8VD49AV) | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial IN
