Good day, 

 

I tried installing a new 8gb DDR4 2666MHZ RAM with my existing 8gig RAM( SAME SPECS) but the second slot keeps rejecting the RAM. I tested both RAMs individually and both works but when I insert it into second slot, screen becomes blank and CAPSLOCK blinks.

 

Please assist? could this be a faulty RAM slot?

Exactly. Blow out the second slot with compressed air just to be sure its not blocked by small particles but if a module which works in the first slot is not recognized in the second slot then the motherboard (RAM slot) is bad.
