Hi Can anyone help please.
I am trying to install a Crucial P3 Plus PCLe 4.0 NVMe in my Hp 14s-fq0508na
When installed in the M.2 slot it cannot be found but it works via the UPS socket.
I have updated the BIOS to 2.2.8.0 and checked to see if the socket was switchable.
The manual say's I am able to install a 1TB NVMe Pcle.
I have cloned the existing hard drive to the NVM via the ups and that works ok
but I would like to have it fitted internally instead lead plug in.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi:
The product specs for your notebook indicate that it comes with a 64 GB eMMC flash drive storage device.
HP Laptop - 14s-fq0508na Product Specifications | HP® Support
Unfortunately, no one can help you because your notebook's M.2 slot only supports SATA M.2 SSD's not NVMe in the notebooks that come with that type of storage device.
HP does not list this important piece of information in the service manual and many folks have found this fact out the hard way just as you did.
Hopefully you can return the NVMe SSD and if you want to install a M.2 SATA SSD, I recommend this model:
WD Blue SA510 1TB M.2 SATA SSD with up to 560MB/s read speed : Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
