I installed   windows on my new samsung 970 evo plus PCIe Gen 3.0 x 4 nvme drive .Drive seems to work fine but samsung magician software for ssd optimisation is showing interface PCIe Gen 3.0 x 2 instead of PCIe Gen 3.0 x 4.I know my device is fully compatible to work in Gen 3.0 x 4 mode and also uefi bios is also compatible.I dont why its happening but due to this my ssd is not working as expected.Please help me fix this issue ie how to run it in  Gen 3.0 x 4 interface mode.

@VasuOberoi

You're confusing different specs.

The Generation of the SATA support largely determines the performance of the SSD. So, Gen 4 is faster than Gen3, which is faster than Gen2, etc.

The "X" number is the width of the connector inside the PC.  These come in X1, X2, X4, X16.  Most modern PCs only have X1 and X16.  While the connector width does affect the performance, it is set in the hardware.
