first please will smeone help me find the actual service manual for this specific device: HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c0000 (2W0J6AV) Product 691L3UA.
i found something but i am unsure if its actually this device... its very confusing. the service manual i found says its for the 17 but i cant figure out if its for mine.
so the thing i need to know is :
mine came with a ssd nvme m.2 256gb . it came with no caddy, zif or anything for the other harddrive slot. so i need to know what i can do about that. next to the HDD zif slot on the motherboard just t the left of the battery, is the hdd slot, then keep going left, and rotate, theres a second slot there with no markings, nothing connected to it, i wanna know what its for.
its about the same size as the hddslot.
next i need to know what generation is compatible with this device for nvme? i bought a gen 4 , 4 TB crucial nvme, and plugging it into the slot on the motherboard and i get nothing recognized, plug it into a usb c adapter. . what's up with that.
okay what else....... oh yeah and my care pack plan has four more months on it but i cant for the life of me figure out how to use it or ask anyone any questions about it like at all. is there an email i can reach out to for inquiries? does the faact that my device came with no hardware to install a hard drive seem to be a warentyissue? or how about the fact that the m.2 slot is malfunctioning? help please

HP does NOT supply manual for EACH machine, you can use manual for the series
https://kaas.hpcloud.hp.com/pdf-public/pdf_4031765_en-US-1.pdf
Page 42 of the document shows you which part # you need.
For the existing M.2, it is a PCIe 3 drive. You can use Device Manager to check.
Regards.
