Hello guys,

I want to add an SSD to my laptop which has the HP 820c motherboard. I know I have only space for one 2.5" drive and one SATA adapter, and I don't feel like replacing the optical drive trick, so I'd rather buy an SSD with M.2 connector, but I want to know that my laptop supports which SSD, like the SATA one or the NVMe one. Which one I should buy?

If any of you guys have this motherboard or you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Cheers

@NeeleshAgarwal Here's all you need to know about upgrades:

Disclaimer: I must let you know that HP does not recommend upgrades or hardware changes as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance by design, that said, the upgradeable parts listed by HP articles are purely for your ease, as the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion.

Check out the image below for details on parts tested and approved by HP to work on your device, also use the above link for keyword search to find the parts you need, along with its part numbers.

(does not support NVMe, but it does support SATA-3 SSD)
