Microsoft Windows 11

Samsung 970NVMe m2 1tb installed. Windows explorer and disk management didn't find ssd.

Downloaded Intel and hp drivers.

Removed SATA hdd and booted from Windows install USB, ssd still not found.

What was originally in the m.2 slot?  If it was Optane or previously empty, make sure that bios is configured for AHCI (or RAID) and not RST or Optane

 

Windows may think you want the 1tb used for Optane memory "rapid storage technology" which you do not need seeing as the entire OS is now in the m.2 

 

I looked at all the BIOS revisions and there was no mention of m.2 or MVME compatibility problem. I suggest no bios upgrade unless the version is older than 53

Fixed in this release: - Provides support for Windows 11.
