My laptop is HP G62 and recently I installed Tiny11 2311. But I ran the operation system on HDD. I was planning to go with ssd. But my eye caught attention when I saw NVMe. They are fast. Can you tell me if my Laptop HP G62 a10se supports NVMe. If not is there any alternative options???

Your only option would be to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

A 2.5" SATA SSD will still have much better performance than a mechanical hard drive.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the HDD removal and replacement procedure:

Do I have an alternative options like replacing the wifi card with nvme slot?

Or should I get a caddy for NVMe?

HP Recommended

You have absolutely no options or ways to install a NVMe SSD in your notebook.

The Wi-Fi card slot only supports Wi-Fi adapters.

Just replace the 2.5" drive with a 2.5" SSD and you will be pleased with the results.

I actually saw someone who has done this. They replaced the wifi card with NVMe card and insert the NVMe. So, that was why I was asking and does PCIe x16 slot supports NVMe. Google is saying that "This motherboard has PCIe x16 slot so you can add a gpu to it and it has 2 M2 connectors for SSD"
