Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just upgraded the SSD to a Samsung PM981 SSD M.2 2280 NVMe - 1TB, which supports PCIe 3.0 x4, however it does only use PCIe 3.0 x2. Is this a limitation on the motherboard that it doesn't support this transfer method?
