Hello,
I am very silly and managed to spill (well, it was more of a spray...) acetone-based nail polish remover onto my keyboard. It has taken off the black coating on most of the keys but mopped it up and stuck the computer upside down to dry. However, ALL the keys and the laptop are working fine and no other detectable issues , just an ugly keyboard. It went near the battery but I cannot seem to remove it but all it has done is leave a stain on the outside where it has removed the black coating, otherwise fine. Nevertheless, I have read horror stories about the acetone eating away at the internals over time and am worried about how long it will last for now. Will the insides have been exposed to acetone via the keyboard? It was a very small amount of liquid (a third of a teaspoon, if that). Should I have the insides checked?
Thanks

Hello @HannahBanana1
IF the nail polish remover only spilled onto the keyboard itself, you are probably ok. The keyboard is sealed and the liquid would not seep past that point. Worst case scenario would be you would have to replace the keyboard if it stopped working.
