HP ENVY x360 - 15-cn0003ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Rec's without battery - purchased new replacement battery LK03XL. Do not know what the correct side is in the up position. Not sure that battery label in on the correct side. Should the battery when installed cover the pins on the connector and what is the + pin on the battery connector on the board? Battery has + and - terminals marked.

Thanks in advance for any assistance - my niece wants her laptop back in working order.

I can't see what you have it plugged into but you are correct to have the HP label up. Is it working? Looks OK to me assuming it plugged in to the interface on the motherboard correctly. It is definitely oriented right.

See p. 30 of the Service Manual here:

Can you post a picture of the battery you have? Specs say it is a 3-cell but the Manual lists a 4-cell as the correct battery.

Battery is an LK03XL - 3 cell - 11.55V, 55.8 Wh and 4835 MAh - Photo included with connector arrows pointing towards the back of the laptop with the + terminal of the battery on the left. Not sure if the battery has the correct + terminal position.
