Hello everyone,
Need some help on which way to go. Just recently bought a laptop
SPECS:
- HP - 15z Laptop (hp laptop 15-db0xxx)
- 2 TB 5400 rpm SATA
- 16 GB DDR4-1866 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB)
- Windows 10 Home 64 Core
- AMD A9-9425 Dual-Core (3.1 GHz, up to 3.7 GHz, 1MB cache)+AMD Radeon™ R5 Graphics
I've attempted to play a game on this laptop but it runs bad at the lowest settings.
Noticed my Dedicated VRam is set to 512mb. Tried to go into the advanced options in BIOS but its not there.
Updated all my drivers
Tried some methods from online but none of them worked.
Is there anything I can do to increase this?
Can I upgrade my laptop with a better graphics card? If so, what would be a graphics that would work best for my laptop because it was custom built.
All suggestions are welcomed!

What EXACTLY your HP - 15z Laptop (hp laptop 15-db0xxx) ? Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

1. VRAM: Integrated video does not have room for keep VRAM, it relies on System. System will work this out and allocate/assign spare/available system RAM to VRAM automatically when required up to max limit. System will also take VRAM back when required. During the good old days, we could do this from BIOS but now OS is smarter.
2. Can I upgrade my laptop with a better graphics card? No, you can't upgrade video card, it is a component of System board.
Regards.

@Banhien
I went into HP Support Assistant and it shows my laptop as: HP Notebook - 15t-db000 CTO.
I just find it very odd that it has 16gb of ram to utilize if need but it still operates in game like a turtle, but that was the graphics card that came with the laptop with no option to upgrade it to a better one 😕
Do miss those good old days where the party was all in the BIOS.
Thanks for the insight. Still in my 30 day return window. Might have to get a laptop with a better graphics card.
