Help, please!

I need replacement screws for my HP Envy x 160.  The (4) screws that hold the laptop together externally. The little rubber covers would be nice to replace, hence they are all gone. LOL.

I don't know the size and don't want to buy a pack with a million in them.  Please help!

P.S. This is not the right board, but I couldn't find anything that matched my issue. 🙂

Hello @DVA4GOD,

A specific product name or product number would be appreciated. E.g. HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0028ca or 5MT98UA#ABL

Information on how to find a laptop's product name or product number is detailed in this HP document. (Please do not post serial numbers on the HP Support Community. The difference between a product number and a serial number is that the product number contains a # sign)

Kind regards,

Eddy

Hey, Eddy!

Thanks for the prompt reply!

This is what I have to share based on HP's product check online:

HP Envy x360 - m6-ar004dx

Serial Number: [edited]

Product Number: W2K56UA#ABA

Screen Size: 15"

It's a 2017 Model.

Hello @DVA4GOD,

As shown by the image below, there are a total of 6 screws holding down the bottom cover:

EddyK_0-1586591155735.png

You can attempt to search those screw models online or you can also check in with tech repair shops nearby to see if they have them available.

There's also a separate screw kit with HP Spare Part number 856797-001.

The rubber kit (includes bottom cover rubber feet) has HP Spare part number 856816-001.

You can find parts through the HP Parts Store. You'll find the majority of parts available there but it's common for them to be back-ordered or unavailable. You may be able to find the part online through third-parties by searching those part numbers.

Hope that helps.
