HP ENVY Sleekbook 6-1014nr

Need a new battery but keep getting different recommendations now on Amazon. Don't  want to get the wrong one.

Can anyone recommend the right one that will fit, hopefully for under $40, for my Envy 6?

Hello.

The correct HP battery model for your Envy is HP part number 681951-001 as specified in the Service Guide for Envy 6.

yeah obviously, but it is retired so no hp parts available and as I stated in my OP, Amazon searches pull up various different batteries for HP Envy models and I don't know if any of them are suitable substitutes. If anyone can give me a link ti a vendor with the right battery I would be grateful...

I would just recommend searching for 681951-001 in Amazon. If the selling party promises it is 100% replacement for it, then it must fit your laptop.

Contact the seller to confirm the part fits your laptop.

There's always a risk the battery are is several years old and not in prime condition.

Check the seller's feedback as well to weed out untrustworthy operators.

I can easily find several listings in eBay and Amazon for 681951-001. Not all will send stuff abroad - and you didn't tell which country you live in, but I'm sure you can find them as well.
