I just received my new Omen by HP laptop, bought especially because of the USB C Thunderbolt 3 port.
I bought a docking station on Amazon with charge feature through this thunderbolt port.
It doesn't work. Replicated USB ports are ok (didn't try the display ports yet) but no charge at all.
I tried this docking station on another laptop (Dell), and charge is ok with Thunderbolt.
What do I have to do ?
Update drivers ?
Update bios ?
Enable something (bios/os) ?
Find another compatible docking station ? Which one ?
Thanks for answers & advices !

The French language specifications say Thunderbolt 3, but the icon next to the port means USB transfer and charge out.
You have the icon shown on p. 6 and not the icon shown on p. 8
Not Tbolt p. 6
Tbolt p.8
The icon next to your port is the small lightning bolt and the USB symbol, not just the large lightning bolt.
French specs for your model on the Store page say Thunderbolt but official English specs do not. I would say you have grounds for a return of the product.
Sorry for your troubles.

Hate to break the news but that USB-C port is likely not a Thunderbolt 3. On the 15-ce0xx Omens Thunderbolt 3 is only on "Select Models" and it appears yours may have missed the cut.
See page 2 and 6-8 of the Service manual here which shows 2 different possible configurations on the left side. You can have a USB-C "sleep and charge" port or a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port. There are different icons that will tell you what you actually have.
"Charge" is a bit misleading. If you have the lesser USB-C what they mean by charge is that it will put a charge out to something like your cell phone. If its the Tbolt 3 kind "charge" means it will take power in to charge the battery.
See the difference in the description on p. 6 and the one on p. 8.
If you could post a picture of the left side of your laptop we could be certain of the advice given. Your specs do not mention Thunderbolt and it would be mentioned if Thunderbolt were provided:

hank you for your help
By the way, that's a pity a shame for HP not to be able to translate its own manual.
Right here, I'd probably not buy this model if I'd knew this information BEFORE. Now, the PC is installed, configured, ... so I'll keep it but that's not fair
again thanks for giving me this information

As I said I think HP would make an adjustment here. You could image your hard drive and have them send you a model with Tbolt and restore it to the new laptop. I would help as much as I can which is not much since I don't work for HP but I can try to get HP involved. More importantly I will let HP know that advertising of this model in France appears to be inaccurate.
