I am trying to find a replacement battery which is a HP MU09 Notebook Battery, 11.1Vdc, 8550 mAh, 100.  There are many choices from different suppliers however, I have not found one with the same specifications.  Please help, thank you

You need RIGHT part #. Since your machine is old, HP may have replacement part. From manual (page 28), machines of the series use one of the following parts at the beginning

  • 9-cell, 100-WHr, 3.00-AHr, LI part # 636631-001
  • 6-cell, 62-WHr, 2.80-AHr, LI part # 593562-001
  • 6-cell, 55-WHr, 2.55-AHr, LI part # 593554-001

Looks like your machine use the 9 cell battery part # 636631-001 which is NOT available from HP PartStore now

(This is understandable, original vendors don't keep older stuffs such as batteries)

Please try
