Ofcourse like everyone else in the this world that buys an HP.  I would like to update the 5400 rpm snail to an SSD.  Hp....why you no make upgrade easy?

Hi,

 

I would first open the PC and check if the M2 slot is there which would give you the option to use a M2 sata drive and keep the 2TB drive for storage.

On page 2 of service manual you can see that there is M2 support but sometimes the physical slot is not present on the motherboard if the PC came without M2 drive.

In the manual you can find the steps to replace hard drive or M2 drive.

 

You can also take a look at these HP videos for your model (click on solid state drive in list on left to see the slot)

ok awesome I was able to replace the HDD with an SDD (I already had one on hand) I imaged it prior and was able to put the image from the 2tb onto a 256gb ssd using macrium reflect.  all set....you bet...
