My laptop is a HP Pavilion - 14-ce3520sa. It has Optane 32Gb + 512Gb H10 Nvme storage, which shows up as Disk 2 because I also have a secondary Samsung non-booting 2.5" SATA 1Tb installed which shows up in BIOS as Disk 1.
After a blue screen the laptop would no longer boot. It is now showing the Optane as incomplete with no sign of the 512Gb of main storage at all. No matter what I try using Partition Manager or its Windows command line, only a 27Gb Optane drive is visible but seemingly useless..
Does anyone know of any way of rescuing the boot and the main disk or, failing that, of accepting the total loss of data and reinstalling the 32Gb + 512Gb from scratch? I took a rescue backup but that can't be accessed either.
Actually my preferred option would be to ditch the disastrous Optane disk and install a standard Nvme 1Tb disk, but I fear that route is barred as well. The BIOS of this laptop does not appear to have any advanced options, which is where I believe Optane control should be found, unless someone can tell me oterwise. So, no Windows, therefore no control over the Optane manager, and no control over Optane in BIOS either. I'm beginning to think that all I have is a very expensive doorstop.
It's no wonder Optane has been discontinued!

Hi:
The last two sections at the link below provide guidance for enabling/disabling the Intel Optane memory.
HP PCs - Installing and Using Intel Optane | HP® Customer Support
Since you can't disable the Intel Optane with the RST software, see if your notebook's BIOS has the settings where indicated.
It does seem to me that the 512 GB portion of the drive is fried.
You could try backing up your files on the 1 TB storage drive and install Windows on that one so you can use the notebook.
See if you can remove the NVMe SSD and if the notebook works that way, you can either take a gamble on installing a NVMe SSD, or replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.
Below is the link to the service manual. HP only has the manual for the older model series.
