I want to upgrade my 128gb SSD in more like 512GB or more. Need help with what kind of SSD is compatible with my system to use it for the OS.
For eg. Samsung 980 or 980 pro (2280) , which one can i use , also can i use only till 512 gb or more than 512gb, like 1TB please help! I have gone through the Manual, but a bit confused.
Thanks.
Using : Omen 15 DC 0084tx Manual

Hi:
You can install a larger capacity NVMe SSD.
The drive capacities listed in chapter 1 of the service manual are just what HP offered, not the maximum capacity supported.
If you want to install a 1 TB NVMe SSD, that would be fine.
HP even offered 1 TB NVMe SSD's in the model series.
Either the 980 or 980 Pro would be excellent options (I have the 980) but note that the Gen 4.0 980 Pro will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds from your notebook's Gen 3.0 NVMe slot.
