HP 255 G5 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

First of all, it shows that by default my pc has DDR3 1600 4GB memory. does it mean its speed is 1600MHz? If yes, then why does it show that speed is 800 MHz in Task Manager?

Can I add a M.2 SATA 3 drive in ADDITION to the default hard drive? If yes, then what's the maximum supported size. If no, then my only option left is to REPLACE the hard drive with a 2.5" SSD?

@Rinzai

HP 255 G5 is a series of many machines with many different options/combinations/configurations .

1. RAM: It uses  DDR3L – 1600 (Transfer rates up to 1600 MT/s) RAM. Your machine runs dual channels that why it shows only 800MHz for EACH channel (800MHz x 2 = 1600 MHz).

2. STOARGE: The series supports SINGLE storage options with M.2 SATA SSD or 2.5" SATA HDD but not both therefore you can replace existing 2.5" HDD with a 2.5" SATA SSD (500GB, 1TB or 2TB).

Regards.

Hey, thanks for the reply. So can I replace my HDD with an M.2 SATA SSD?
