My original ac adapter got damaged and doesn't work anymore. I accidentally threw it away. I need a new one. I have tried a 45w, a 65w, and now a 90w ac adapter but none of them charge my computer. Before I buy a 120w version, what do I need? I have an HP Pavilion - 15-cs0073cl. Thank you for the help.

You may need to calibrate the battery.

Hi:
Below is the link to the parts list for your notebook.
When you buy the parts you need from HP, the adapter and the power cord that goes from the wall socket to the adapter are sold separately.
710412-001 | Smart AC power adapter (65 watt) - 4.5mm barrel connector, non-power factor correcting (NPFC) - Requires 3-wire AC power cord with C5 connector |
L19367-001 | Power cord - C5 connector, 1.0m long, STK Conv (North America) |
You can see if these parts are available from HP at the link below.
HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - Compaq Parts
What I recommend you do, is to go on eBay and search for a used but tested and working genuine HP power adapter.
Those usually come with the power cord too.
Search by the HP part number.

The part is used in multiple HP notebook PC's.

Thank you for this detailed and useful information. That looks like a 45w. Why would that work and the ones I've tried haven't worked? Is there something I need to do for my computer to charge again? (I feel like that's a silly question, but it's been very frustrating that the computer doesn't charge even though I've had it plugged in with all three of these previous versions I've tried.) Thank you for helping me understand so I can use my computer again.

I purchased a replacement 720412-001 ac adapter and power cord. The computer was plugged in all night with no usage and it went from 65% to 69% charged. Why isn't it at 100%? How do I fix this so the computer will go to 100% charge again?
