Hi
I recently purchased this laptop (HP ENVY x360 m6-aq103dx) from Bestbuy. Looking to swap its 1TB HDD to a 256GB or 512GB SSD.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks !

Hello dmv_blr,
Your unit can be upgraded to 500 GB M.2 SSD
See this :

Here is the Manual:
You have a couple choices. You can replace the existing 1 TB 7200 rpm SATA 2.5 inch drive with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD. Instructions on page 28-29. Or, you can add an M.2 "gumstick" type drive. Instructions on page 36. Also see page 37 where it shows the location of the M.2 drive in the upper right quadrant of the laptop as you have it flipped over with the bottom cover removed. The hard drive is in the lower left quadrant. It looks like an enlongated memory module right below the gray ribbon cable thing.
It takes an M.2 2280 SATA B + M type drive like this:
256-MB, M2.2280, SATA-3, solid-state drive supporting TLC 760615-022
This is an example of a 480 gig drive:
2.5 inch SSD:
Post back if you need any more help. Software migration is something else we would need to discuss.

Thanks for the detailed response !
I have this spare SSD presently "Samsung 250GB 750EVO SSD SATA III 2.5IN MZ-750250BW"
Can this replace the existing 1TB HDD ?
Also, you mention that we can "add" an M.2 SSD. i.e, I can retain the original HDD it came with, and add an SSD as well. Is my understanding correct ?
Is this model laptop's motherboard/bios setup to work multiple drives ?
If so, would this M.2 model work for this purpose (ie HDD + SSD) ?
Thanks !
