Hi All,
I hope you can help.
I want to be able to close the lid on my x360 whilst having 2 externally connected large format screens still live. The first external screen will be a mirror of my laptop screen (I do this via the x360's HDMI port and it works fine). In addition I want to extend to the second external screen via the USB-C port on the x360.
I have tried 2 converters. One a Mokin USB-C to VGA and another, which is an unbranded USB-C to HDMI converter. Neither work. I am running Windows 10 home version 1903.
According to the data sheet for my x360 it has the following ports.
Ports 1USB3.1Type-C™Gen1(DataTransferupto5Gb/s,PowerDelivery,DisplayPort™ 1.2,HPSleepandCharge); 2USB3.1Gen1(1HPSleepandCharge); 1HDMI1.4;1 headphone/microphonecombo 1multi-formatSDmediacardreader
All help gratefully received...
Happy new year, Steve

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to connect the second monitor to the type C port on the computer using a adapter/converter.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I checked the specifications of your computer and see that the type C port on your computer doesn’t support display as it is not a thunderbolt 3 port.
Please refer to the below image for more information.
I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

Hi The_Fossette!
Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. The data sheet for the product
actually says the following.
"
Ports
1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, Power Delivery, DisplayPort™
1.2, HP Sleep and Charge); 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (1 HP Sleep and Charge); 1 HDMI 1.4; 1
headphone/microphone combo
1 multi-format SD media card reader
"
i.e. it says the Type-C supports DisplayPort - so why does the HP screen that is attached not get any signal?
I have seen on other threads for other HP laptops that specific adapters are required to go from USB-C to VGA/HDMI.
Can you dive a little deeper on this matter please?
FYI I am happy to consider any reasonable solution that allows 2 screens to be attached to the laptop. The laptop screen is not suitable for role based working in planning and design hence why I need the 2 external large screens to be supported (and the x360 data sheet says it should (1 through HDMI the other through DisplayPort) hence why the laptop was bought)
Very best regards,
Steve
