Hi.  I currently own an HP Firefly 15 G7.  It has a touchscreen that is damaged, but I am looking to replace this with a non-touch screen as I really don't use the touch function.  I also understand there is a 40pin vs 30 pin setup.  Would I be able to use the non-touch 30 pin in place of the 40 pin?  Any advice would be appreciated.

Here is the Service Manual:

Look at pages 21 and 22. Display parts are "spared" at the subcomponent level. There are different display back covers for touch and nontouch and, as you say, the cables are different. So you likely cannot simply replace the touch with a non-touch panel. Perhaps on eBay or similar vendor site you can find a whole hinges up display assembly with the cable and make the swap but it might be an expensive part and a pretty involved task.

This is the only thing I could find on eBay and not clear if this is touch or nontouch
