So for replacing my battery, I visited nearby HP World Store where staff told me that for this model you'll not original battery as company stopped manufacturing it. But in place you can find Compatible battery for your laptop which will cost you around INR 3700 + GST and you'll get 1 year of warranty.
I was hesitant initially so I decided to check Official Service Centre of HP and they said orginal battery is available for this model and it'll cost around INR 7000 and I'll get 6 months of warranty with this. Now this is where I got confused and asked him that someone told me that HP stopped manufacturing this battery then how he is saying that it original is available in the market.
One of them is definitely lying so I wanted to know what should I do now? Shall I go for compatible batteries as they are offering 1 year of warranty or shall I go for original one?
One more question.. Is it true that HP stopped manufacturing batteries for this model?

Hi @Hordor,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand your confusion regarding the availability of the original battery. To ensure you receive a genuine HP battery, I recommend purchasing from an HP Authorized Service Center rather than third-party stores. Authorized centers have access to official HP parts and can confirm whether the battery is still being manufactured.
If an HP service center has the original battery in stock, it is likely sourced directly from HP’s supply chain. You can also ask them for the battery part number to verify its authenticity.
