Have a printer HP 5440 and looking to replace with a new current unit and would like to know unit type that can be easily plugged in with current connectors?

Hi,

You most likely have the printer connected by a USB cable. So almost any printer you can connect with the same cable. 

Most will also have the option to be connected wirelessly.
