Need to update chip-set/storage manager drivers for notebook tha's no longer supported by HP

I've been told I need to update the chip-set driver on my laptop.  I've also been told I need to update the storage manager driver.  I don't know if these are two different drivers or if they're just different ways to refer to the same drivers.  I'm obviously not very knowledgeable about computers, and so I've avoided tinkering with my circa 2009 laptop over the years and I have made no  updates beyond what windows 7 did automatically (until that system "broke" in early 2016).  Since my computer is no longer supported by HP I don't know how to search for or install these drivers, if HP would even still have them on-site. 

Any guidance in finding/installing these drivers (either from the HP site or elsewhere) would be greatly appreciated. 

PS: is there any chance that, if I was able to install the missed windows 7 updates between my last one in march 2016 and the end-of-support in Jan 2020, that updates for these drivers would be included in that process?

Your notebook is very old, and this would be the latest W7 Intel chipset installation utility supported for your notebook.

It should also install the updated Intel storage driver.

Operating system updates are controlled by Microsoft, not the computer manufacturer.
