Hi! @VishalVirmani, Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I understand you would like to know if there is an M.2 SSD slot on your laptop.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

I have checked the specifications of the laptop and yes there is an m.2 SSD slot on your laptop.

Please find the possible hard drive upgrades and part number for your laptop.

Description Spare part number
Solid-state drive board 856210-001
GNRC SSD 256GB 2280 M2 SATA-3 Value 865902-001
GNRC SSD 128GB 2280 M2 SATA-3 Value 847110-002
Solid-state drive cable 856353-001

Refer the laptop user guide for more information.

Note: Page 34 for more information.

If you have to install the operating system on the M.2 SSD you have to change the boot priority to M.2 in BIOS.

Hi,

I had a chance to visit the HP Service center in Noida IQOR Global Services India Pvt Ltd, 5th Floor, Wave Silver Tower, Sector-18, Noida 201301, Uttar Pradesh . They checked my laptop ( Hp 15-AU628TX) and confirmed that this model does not have a M.2 SSD port.

Request you to recheck and let me know if there is any confusion and tell me, if there is any way I can use a SSD drive for a better performance of my Laptop.

Really appreciate your quick response.

Attached is a pik of the laptop motherboard that i took when the Service center team was examining the lappy when looking for a M.2 port. Please have a look and confirm the next steps.

Thank a lot.

Regards,

Vishal
