Hello,I have HP Elitebook 2540p ,I need to know what type of storage I am using because I need to upgrade it,it is only 128 gb capacity, thank you

Hi:

 

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that HP offered 1.8" solid state and 2.5" mechanical hard drives up to 500 GB in storage capacity for the model series.

Chapter 4 has the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

 

You'll have to take the notebook apart and see what type of drive it came with 2.5" mechanical or 1.8" SSD.

 

If the notebook came with a 2.5" drive, it is contained in an optical drive carrier.

 

It is going to be difficult for you to find a larger capacity 1.8" SSD if that's what your notebook has.
