My notebook has WIFI but, no bluetooth. I have the HP service manual for the computer. It says I can use this WLAN and bluetooth card:
The card is easy to get to through the service door that covers the RAM. Is this going to be a simple matter of plug and play? Or should I just get a dongle. I would rather replace the card. Anyone have any experience with this. I am not all that familiar with Windows. Usually on an Apple of some sort.

You're very welcome.
Here are the links to the latest W10 wifi and Bluetooth drivers for that model wifi card...

Good idea to upgrade the memory while you have it apart.
The service manual gives conflicting info...
It indicates each slot can take an 8 GB memory chip but it also states the maximum memory is only 8 GB.

When I see conflicting information like that, and I don't know for a fact which part of the info is wrong, I always check the Crucial memory website to see what they indicate.
Crucial indicates the max is 2 x 8 GB for your model.

Hi:
Open up the access panel where the wifi card is located.
I believe there is only one antenna cable attached to the wifi card in there now.
The Ralink card will need two.
If there is only one antenna cable present, you can install this combination wifi/Bluetooth card which works with one antenna.
Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn 1×1 + BT 4 LE Combo Adapter HP part # 753077-001.
The card is readily available on eBay. This is the cheapest one I could find that has the one antenna terminal.
Here is the complete search listing...

If your notebook has two antenna cables connected to the wifi card in there now, let me know, and I will give you a better wifi/Bluetooth card to install that is dual band wireless AC.

Thank you for the reply. It took me a minute to shut down and dig my screwdrivers out. It does appear to have only the one wire. One phillips screw holding the card in place. There is a place for a second wire on the current card but, nothing is hooked to it. If I get one of the ebay cards will it require different drivers? While I am doing all of this, I think I am going to max the RAM out while I am in there. It only has 8Gbs in it now. It's been a good laptop to learn Windows. The things I want to do to it seem easy enough, it's just not knowing what's what that gives one pause.

Thank you for your help. I read somewhere that the max memory was 8, another place 12, and so on. I saw a guy on Best Buy say he had bought Crucial and ran it up to 16 and it worked. The guy right behind him had done the same thing. So, 16 and a wireless card is where I am headed. Thanks again.
