Frustrated!  Several weeks ago, I got a battery warningand a message saying to replace battery.  I purchased from a HP authorised store and installed.  My Omen won't recognise the new battery and consequently, the check battery feature won't analyze as it doesnt see the new battery.  The error code says "internal battery 601".  The battery in the notification area shows status as fully charged though?  I also occassionaly get a CMOS Reset 502 message on re boot.

 

Ive tried the solutions on this site but again, none work as my Omen doesnt think a battery is connected.  I have closely inspected the connector and not seeing any sign of bad connection etc.

 

I suspect my old battery is ok afterall and that I spent $130 on an unnessary new battery.
