Common problems for Battery

Pavilion15-cc183cl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased a factory authorized battery for my laptop. I installed the battery but my system does not see it. The battery icon has an 'x' in it, when I use the online test tool it does not find a battery. I have a feeling that the fix is simple but I have been searching for solutions and have not found any for my particular case. What did I miss when doing the install. I thought it was easy as just replacing the battery...

I recommend that you open it back up to see if a wire or connector was damaged when you reinstalled the battery.

There does exist the possibility that the new battery is faulty.

It you find no damage in the notebook, perhaps contacting the vendor and request an RMA and replacement of the battery would be the next best step to take.
