HP Spectre 360x Convertible. Model # 13-ae052nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have previously owned Dell laptops with no issue with touchpad.  This new (Expensive) HP Spectre Convertible touchpad does NOT work properly.  The Touchpad is very sensitive and I CANNOT get the right click feature to work.  Is there something I am missing.  I click the right side of the touch pad and no "right click" features so up.

thanks!

Sorry to hear you are having touchpad issues. When you say click the right side I assume you are pressing down on right corner? The left click can be activated by tap or press down on left corner but right click  requires press down on right front corner on my loaner/tester Spectre.

Having the same issue, and pressing down until click in the bottom right of the touchpad actually does nothing - it doesn't even trigger a left-button click! Is something misconfigured with the Synaptics software? The only setting I've changed is to reverse the scroll direction...

@Papiro

The original poster never let us know how/if he got his touchpad working. If your click is not working at all I would contact HP Service: You will need Serial number. It can be found by opening HP Support Assistant, in BIOS or in small letters on bottom of case near back edge.

Hi Cheryl,

It seems like mine is working now... I just need to either click it in exactly the right place (which is not in the corner, but maybe a 1/4 inch up from there along the right edge) or push down very hard. I will work with what I have 🙂

Thanks for following up!
