Same here. I bought this computer a week ago. I ran one application, Microsoft Edge, with it plugged into the power source and the fan noise is ear-splitting. It's like how I imagine a dog whistle sounds to a canine. This makes the machine unusable when it is plugged in. I don't care about any of it's features or the clean lines of it's design. The fan noise could raise the dead and HP doesn't have a single reasonable response to this engineering flaw. I made a leap buying an HP product after years away. It will be another decade before I make the same mistake.

I had good results using NFB.  They have a profile for this notebook.  Tames the fan noise.

I returned that spectre.  I didn’t notice any issues with it during the few days I ran NBFC.
