I recently purchased a laptop and received it yesterday. After using it unplugged, I noticed it had great battery life. However, when I plugged it in to charge, I encountered an issue. Despite the website claiming a 30-minute charge time to reach 50%, mine only charged 2% in 10 minutes. I've conducted tests and driver updates suggested by HP and searched online for solutions, but haven't identified the cause. I suspect it could be the charging adapter, as the battery performs well when unplugged. i hope the devs can help me with this pls 😪

Heads up.
Never let your laptop get to less than 20% of charge.
Your description sounds more like a charging management chip or embedded controller chip issue.
Contact the seller to arrange a return, repair or replacement.
Even my 2018 Hp Spectre 13t-ap0000 laptop charges to about 50% within thirty minutes.

No i don't actually think there is something wrong with the laptop but cuz the battery life is pretty good and it shows that it is charging its brand new my thought is thay the adaptor is defect cuz is charges at a steadly rate of 5% per hour.

What I suggested would be the only solution to what you find wrong with the laptop.

yes thanka for helping out i also noticed something funny, it charges 5% per hour by the seems of it is a constant it either 5 or 6%. i really hope it has something to do with the adaptor, other wise idk how complicated the repair will be i don't want them to **bleep** it up more. btw why are u sure it is something with the power board and can i do something to fix it myself ?
