Hello everyone!

I wanted to give a little more speed to my old laptop which still works perfectly !

It has the factory ram 2 pcs of DDR3 with specs 2GB 2Rx8 PC3 - 10600S-09-10-F2 , and i bought 2 pcs of 8GB 2Rx8 PC3 - 12800S-11-11-F3 and I am receiving error on boot saying that the device has run into a problem STOPP CODE: KERNEL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION.

Is there anything i can do to make these new ram work?

Thank you in advance!!

Hi, Loizos:

The problem is that your notebook's i5-430M processor can only support a maximum of 2 x 4 GB of memory.

Also, you cannot use DDR3/DDR3L-12800 (1600 Mhz) memory in your notebook.

It has to be PC3-10600 2Rx8 because the DDR3-12800 memory cannot go back two clock speeds to 1066 MHz, which is as fast as your notebook's processor can run the memory at.
