Spectre x360 13-AW0059TU
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Model: HP Spectre x360 - 13-aw0059tu

CPU: 1065G7

RAM: 16GB DDR4

STORAGE: 512GB SSD + 32GB Optane

Display: 4K AMOLED

So I got one on the 2nd of January, and then returned it because it had banding and color issues on the display. I got a new one now and it has the same screen issue, but it seems to have a new issue. This device makes a sound similar to a hard disk drive inside (without the spinning sound). I ran the laptop with the fans off and also with another audio device connected, and there was no difference to the noise. Plugging in the device to the charger also doesn't change the sound. Is this a defective motherboard?

It is called "Coil Whine", try search on google and youtube. If you can , return it.

It's not that type of sound. It sounds more like a HDD while its doing a write operation.
