Just bought a new adapter, but test is cancelled. System says it fully charged the battery but when it is unlpugged. It locks after 1 minute and I can’t even log back in without shutting it down and turning it back on. The adapter may work better than the old one, but I’m not sure. Should I send t back? I’m not even sure I can trust hp for refunds. It looks like I have to buy a battery from Amazon.

What was the reason for buying another adapter? Sounds like your battery gave out. Did you run an advanced battery test from bios? Please do, take a pic of the advanced results and upload it here.

battery was not detected. Before going to windows for a while, it has had a warning saying it cannot go to full capacity. Other charger was failing to charge and it would even do that within windows. I would need to unplug it then plug it back in for it to work for a while. Sometimes after shutting down the system and turning it on, it would charge. From my understanding, this battery never has been detected upon replacement, and the adapter I was using was testing as blown fuse. I tried to get a new battery with a new adapter, and it was available until after I ordered it. I am debating whether or not to keep the adapter or use the old one long enough to get a temporary battery from Amazon.
the new adapter can’t even be tested, but it is authentic. However, I am get a third-party battery and test it with both adapters, and I have some time to return the new adapter.
