According to the Illustrated parts list in the Maintenance and Service guide, That is not the correct battery part.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06001792 (see page 26 chapter 3)

I had to flip the image over to get any information from it.

your image flipped for legibilityyour image flipped for legibility

From the manual:

8 cell 82 WHr 2.8 AH Li-ion (for products with N17P (GTX 1050/GTX 1050Ti) processors)  HP P/N 922976-855

8 cell 82 WHr 3.0 AH Li-ion (for products with N17E GTX 1070/GTX 1060 processors)       HP P/N 922977-855

The one you installed is:  Part number 922753-421 and it is for a different notebook, even though it has the same dimensions and fits. These are S.M.A.R.T. batteries that send information to the BIOS that is extracted by the OS when battery report utility is run. Your battery is sending the information for a battery that your notebook does not expect.  Can you show an image of the 255% charge that you see?

Hi Erico

Thanks for your reply,

I agree this battery was recommended by UK company i will source correct one with user manual reference.

I live in Saudi so i will check international suppliers of said battery. Do i need any other info to support order?

The connector i have is a 16 pin not 8 as this is my second battery ordered.

Wow. That is pretty weird. If I believed what it said I would think that is one super serious battery.

Provide the ProdID that is found on the bottom of your notebook.

Just use the battery part number that is shown in the Maintenance & Service guide. There is no need to provide a reference to the vendor unless you are demanding that the replace the battery they sent with the correct part. I wouldn't trust them any more.

If I were you, I would cease doing business with the UK company that recommended the battery.

Find another vendor.  I recommend removing the battery from the notebook until you have the proper one.

I suppose you must be using a VPN since the HP website software thinks you are in the US.
