HP Pavilion Laptop 14-dv0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

I bought a new HP Laptop 14-dv0xxx . When I turn on the laptop the fan starts running continuously and stops only after I put the laptop on sleep. I use my laptop only to surf the web. I have installed all updates including optional ones. I updated my BIOS but the problem still persists. Also my laptops battery gets drained too fast (within 2 hours). I tried the steps suggested here:

Please help resolve this issue.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand that your HP laptop fan is running constantly, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did you make any changes to the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
  • Have you checked for any malware or virus?
  • When was the last time it worked fine?

Keep me posted for further assistance.
