Hi,
I have very new laptop with an i7-1165G7 (quad core) processor. The machine has an SSD and so the fan or fans are cooling the processor. The problem is that they won't turn off, even under zero load. I've tried undervolting, but that doesn't work with this quad processor. Any thoughts on how to turn off the fans or have them run occasionally?

Hi,
Try entering BIOS and see if "Fan always on" is enabled
I would also completely update the machine through Windows update and update drivers through HP support page and/or HP support page for your product.
Hope it helps,
David

I have the same problem. My laptop is HP Pavilion 15t-eg100 and I have noticed that when the battery is charging the fan works constantly even when the battery is already charged.
PD: "Fan always on" is disabled
