Product: OMEN 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-b0000 (2W6B3AV)

I'm trying to buy an additional adapter for my Omen 16=b0013dx.  The model number of the adapter is TPN-LA10.  I ordered one on ebay and it came but the male plug did not fit my adapter, so I ordered an adapter for "HP Blue tips".  All of the specs are equal on the new power adapter, but the part number is different.  When I plug it into the laptop, it gets rejected as not compatible.  Is there a work-around for this?

The power adapter part number and description is:

SKO-230W AC ADPTR, PFC SMART 3Pin 4.5mm

 

The power cord that goes from the wall socket to the adapter is sold separately.

CORD C13 1.0M STR Prm NA

 

HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - Compaq Parts

 

You may want to do a search on eBay and find a genuine HP used but tested and working power adapter.

 

Search by the HP part number.

 

Those normally come with the power cords as well.
