I am having an issue with my battery not lasting long. I have run the HP Battery Test in the HP Support Assistant and get the results Unknown 93. When I try to run the test from System Diagnostics, there is no option for Battery Test. I would like to know the status of the battery before assuming it needs replacing. How can I check this? Thank you.

Hi @KCasteel,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community! I came across your post and wanted to help you. I understand you are having issues with the battery does not charge anymore. Don't worry we'll work together to find a solution for you.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Did this happen after an recent update?
Have you tried to run a test on the battery from F2?
Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the battery drivers from device manager?
In the meantime, let's try these steps here:
Perform a Hard reset on the notebook: A power reset (or hard restart) clears all information from the computer's memory without erasing any personal data. Performing a power reset might fix conditions such as Windows not responding, a blank display, software freezing, keyboard, stops responding, or other external devices locking up.
Unplug the charge and use the laptop until the battery drains to 15%.
Turn off the laptop and turn it back on after 30mins.
Reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager,
Restart the computer and the issue should be fixed.
I would suggest here is to update the Bios and Chipset drivers on your PC from our HP support website, using this link.
Also, download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.
Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.

I would suggest here is to update the Hardware diagnostics, using this link.
Next thing, I would suggest here is to run the test on the battery from F2.(Click on Component test - Scroll down to Power)
Please remember to capture the failure ID for further assistance.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you.
