My USB - C port suddenly stopped sending "video signal" for my second monitor. I have been using a second monitor ever since I bought my notebook 6 months ago with no problem. I connect my second monitor using a USB-C to USB-C cable, the cable that came with the monitor. Although the USB-C port still provides power to other devices "using a HUB", like my external keyboard and mouse, when I connect a second monitor now, I see "NO SIGNAL" on the second monitor. In addition to having my portable monitor that I use the USB-C cable with, I also have two additional monitors that I have used that connect to the HUB and then via USB-C to my pc. It also has always worked with no problem but now it doesn't work. I connected my older HP laptop "HP Pavilion 15 Gaming" which I used before I bought my HP Victus and it works fine as always.
I am from the USA. However, I live in Colombia. I have tried to contact customer support in Colombia, however, it seems NO ONE speaks English. I am always transferred to India or the Philippines when I ask for someone that speaks English. Of course, they can not help me because I am in Colombia, and they do not have access to Colombian resources for support. I contacted support in the USA because that is where HP was founded and headquartered. I expected that they could put me in touch with someone to help me in Colombia. However, I always get the same response. They either say that do not know what to tell me or put me on hold and then they disconnect the call. I have requested a call back from the latin american website for support which automatically creates a case number. However, no one ever calls me and the case shows "CLOSED" within 10-15 minutes. I have tried speaking with chat via WhatsApp as a second option they offer. I spend literally 5 hours talking to them because of the delay between their responses. Then suddenly, they stop responding. I have no idea how to get support for my laptop which is still under warranty, at least for now.
