After Replacing the Battery on my HP Pavilion Gaming with the same battery from a respected third party producer i got a CMOS 502 error and after fully booting up my laptop it stated that: 'No battery present'.
Now the weird thing is, that the laptop still stays on when i unplug the cable form the laptop. And in the device manager it states that the battery works correctly. However I don't know if the battery is charging or not or if its running of a pre charged charge.
After trying all kinds of internet solutions like removing the battery drivers from the device manager and restarting the laptop, doing a powershutoff where i unplug the battery and press the powerbutton for multiple times but non of these worked and i still got the same issue where it doesn't detect a battery and it states its not present.
After all of that I decided to place back the old battery and my laptop does detect the old battery and works normally so I have no idea why it doesn't detect the new battery.
The old and new battery are both the HP PG03XL / L48495-005.
Here is the link of the site I bought it at:
Also included is a picture that shows the batteries are 1:1 in size and shape.

From your description it means that the BIOS ROM file is corrupt.
I suggest recovering the BIOS, See the hyperlink below this line.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4209641-3226345-16
Once the BIOS is recovered, the laptop is likely to see the battery as present at the firmware level.
That should resolve the issue.

After having recovered the bios as you said via a keypress combination as your link said I still have the same issue of the battery not being present and not found as my laptop is saying. Would you suggest that I'm going through the USB recovery drive proces?
Pardon the Dutch language but translated it says: 'There is no battery present' and 'Can't find a battery'.
Edit: I also still get a CMOS 502 error when I unplug the battery and replug it.
Edit 2: I have also Downloaded a new bios version straight from the HP support site and even after installing the new version the battery still isn't found. I personally think the fault lies at the battery itself. I had already contacted the company about it and they are willing to send me a new replacement.

That means that the battery is not providing current to the CMOS current as it is supposed to.

I am glad to hear that they are doing an RMA for you. I bought batteries from the 123akku.nl for years without issue. I lived in the Netherlands for sixteen years.
Ik kan wel Nederlands lezen en praten.
