I bought this computer second hand. The other day I wanted to sync my Bluetooth headset to the computer, but wasn't able. I have spent the last 3 days trying to figure this out, to no avail. The "turn Bluetooth on" button does not exist, and I cannot find any driver in the device manager (yes, I checked hidden files). I have run Bluetooth troubleshooter but get an error. I went to the HP support for this model and found a Bluetooth driver that I could download, but still nothing. I went to Intel and AMD websites and tried downloading their drivers, but still nothing. When trying to check compatibility, it says incompatible and only seems to be compatible with Windows 7 or 8, even though I downloaded ones that were specifically for Windows 10. I am at a total loss, and extremely frustrated. I thought about getting a Bluetooth dongle, but why does HP have a driver download file if it's not compatible? I'm hoping that I'm just missing something. If anyone can help me I'd be very grateful! Thanks!

You need bluetooth hardware.
The easiest thing to do to get bluetooth would be to purchase a USB bluetooth adapter.
I use this one.
https://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-USB-Bluetooth-4-0-Compatible/dp/B007Q45EF4
Otherwise you have to take the notebook apart, remove the wifi card and purchase a compatible wifi/bluetooth adapter.

Hi:
Below is the link to the product specs for your notebook.
it does not come with built in bluetooth networking or that feature would have been listed along with the 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN wireless connectivity specification.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04398713
The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with a Realtek RTL8188EE wifi adapter.
That adapter is not a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter.
