I have a replacement hard drive to install current one won't work

I have created a usb installation media, when I try to install and I get no drives found

unsure of next steps.

How did you create the installation USB?

 

Did you use the HP Cloud Recovery tool?  Your product ID is probably 3TT17UA#aba which is supported

Go here and put your actual product ID in and verify cloud support.  A 32gb  flash may be needed.

If the flash drive is not booting you need to tap ESC and select the boot drive to be the USB flash.

if you are trying to restore your software from a backup then you need to initialize the new hard drive.  That can be done with a windows 10 or 11 install or you can use the cloud restore and then use your backup.
