Hi my HP laptop doesn't power up on or charge power supply is good have 19.5v I plus it in no light at port I unplug it from mother board I get 19.5v the white n amber lights work I check them with my meter on continuity and they work white one then reverse amber the other I even swapped out charging port with another 1 same thing but ya 19.5v unplugged  and 0.96v when I plug it back into board even at battery 0.96v looked 4 schematic to find power caps n res to test n notta would greatly appreciate some guidance I bought it used like  that so dont no anything about it just what's on back cover

Do you see any lights on the keyboard? If yes, then I recommend you follow the steps in the below article.

If you do not see any lights on the keyboard, then I recommend you contact support as it might be a hardware issue.

 

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

 

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
