Hi, 

I recently purchased an HP 17-cn0023dx from a BestBuy vendor. However, HP would not let me register my product - I tried downloading the "Let HP Detect Your Product" tool and ended up with a "HP could not identify your products" message. I then tried to put in my product serial number (which I retrieved from the under base of my laptop). Same issue.

 

I want to ensure that I get support for my laptop / run HP's diagnostic tools / ensure all the drivers are up to date. I am also getting an insane number of "One of your disks is at risk (SMART event)" messages from the Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management app. 

Help please!

Have you tried to enter 668S3UA. Can you run HP Support Assistant (HPSA) ? Please use that first to see what it is.
