HP ProBook 430 G4 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I swapped my 430  G5 with I3 7100U against a 430 G4 with a i5 7200 CPU and 8 GB of RAM. G4 is supposed to have a better build quality. I noticed the fan is pretty noisy. A soon as I start an application is starts making a considerable amount of noise.

I can easily compare this to the G5. On the G5 you could perform simple tasks and the fan would stay idle.

Any suggestions what to do? Thermal paste on the CPU? Cleaning inside. According to the website notebookcheck this laptop is supposed to be silent. My other Probook G5 450 with a 8250 CPU is also quiet. Maybe it is specific for this series G4?

Thank you for your time and help.
